There are three important banks in Bamako that offer good deals when it comes to exchanging:
BDM ( 222 20 40 located on Ave Modibo Keita)
BICIM (222 51111 located in Immeuble Nimagala, on Blvd du Peuple)
BIM ( 222 5089 located on Ave de L'Independence).
Besides the banks there is a flourishing black market where you can change cash or travellers cheques, but I advise you to count your money carefully after the exchange.
